November 2015, CDR Mini Symposium on Drug Addiction and Neurodegeneration 2015 with the theme ‘Brain Disorders: Current View and Future Perspectives was successfully held from 4^th to 6^th November 2015 at Auditorium Ishak Pateh Akhir, Sains@USM. The mini symposium was organized in collaboration with Basic Neuroscience Chapter, Malaysian Society of Neurosciences. The meeting was attended by local and international participants. Keynote speakers invited were Prof. Dr. Murat Yücel and Prof. Dr. Iekhsan Othman from Monash University Melbourne and Malaysia respectively. Best Oral Presentation Award was given to Liew Kok Fui, PhD student from School of Pharmaceutical Sciences USM, and Best Poster Presentation Award was given to Hema Sekaran, PhD student of CDR. The meeting gained positive response from participants who are looking forward to the next version of the meeting.
