Special Talks at JC Friday Meetings
7th September 2016, CDR Journal Club (JC) was honoured to have two invited speakers for JC Friday meetings recently. Prof. Dr. Nazalan Najimudin from School of Biological Sciences USM who is also CDR Board Member gave a talk on Do’s and Don’t’s: Ethics in Research? He emphasized on ethics and research integrity, importance to write and keep a research records (laboratory book), as well as issue of authorship.
On 2nd September 2016, Dr. Christina Perry from The Florey Institute of Neuroscience & Mental Health Australia gave a talk on Exploring Cognitive Decline in Chronic Alcohol Use. She shared interesting findings on the impact of chronic alcohol use studied in rodent models.
JC Friday meetings was initiated to provide a platform for CDR postgraduate students to share updates of their research, and at the same time polish their presentation skills and critical thinking.
