CDR EMBRACES THE SPIRIT OF RAMADAN WITH FESTIVE PHOTOGRAPHY AND FOOD DISTRIBUTION

PENANG, 25 March 2025 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, the Centre for Drug Research (CDR), Universiti Sains Malaysia, held a festive photography session and food distribution activity on Tuesday, 25 March 2025. The event aimed to strengthen staff camaraderie and celebrate the values of unity and generosity upheld during this sacred month.

The day began with a group photography session at the PPDU office, where staff members dressed in vibrant Raya-themed attire. The colourful gathering not only brightened the office atmosphere but also captured the sense of harmony and shared purpose among colleagues.

Later in the afternoon, the CDR Staff Club (Kelab Staf PPDU) organised the distribution of traditional bubur lambuk and nasi biryani ayam from the popular local restaurant Kapitan. The food, carefully prepared and packaged, was distributed to staff members as a gesture of appreciation and a symbol of the community spirit that defines Ramadan.

This meaningful initiative reflects CDR’s ongoing efforts to foster a warm, inclusive working environment that values both professional excellence and cultural identity. It also served as a timely reminder of the importance of reflection, compassion and togetherness during Ramadan.
