CDR CHAMPIONS SUSTAINABILITY AT USM EARTH DAY RECYCLING DRIVE
PENANG, 22 April 2025 — The Centre for Drug Research (CDR), Universiti Sains Malaysia, proudly supported the university’s Drive-Thru Recyclables Collection Programme held in conjunction with Earth Day 2025 at Padang Kawad. Organized by Bahagian Jaringan Industri & Masyarakat (BJIM) with support from environmental partners like E-Idaman and Circular+, the initiative encouraged the campus community to trade recyclables for cash or app credits via idamanXchange.
CDR staff and students contributed items such as paper, plastics (PET, HDPE, PP), cardboard, and used cooking oil, highlighting the centre’s commitment to sustainable practices. Their participation helped raise awareness on responsible waste management and supported USM’s broader green campus goals. This initiative aligns with key Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 12, SDG 13, and SDG 15.
