PENANG, 24 April 2025 – The Centre for Drug Research (CDR), in collaboration with Pusat Pengetahuan, Komunikasi dan Teknologi (PPKT), Ombudsman USM and Institute For Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), came together to form Gerai K.A.S.I.H 4 Serumpun in conjunction with Majlis Sambutan Aidilfitri@USM 2025, held at the grounds of The Bricks, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Dressed in coordinated attire with men in black baju Melayu and women in cream-toned baju kurung, the team radiated unity and festive flair. Their vibrant booth served traditional delights such as air balang, aiskrim Malaysia, and the crowd-favourite rojak buah, drawing in guests with both flavour and festive warmth.

The event, themed “Aidilfitri 2025 Dirai, Silaturrahim Disemai”, began with the arrival of the university’s top management including the Vice-Chancellor and Board of Governors, followed by a communal feast and cultural performances. The celebration reached its peak during the walkthrough session where the Chairman of the Board of Governors, Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin and other dignitaries mingled with USM staff at their decorated booths. One of the main highlights was decorating the booth and taking group photos at 11:00 AM. This showed how well the four teams worked together in the Gerai K.A.S.I.H 4 Serumpun group.

This joyous participation reinforced CDR ongoing commitment to fostering camaraderie within the USM community, while embracing cultural and festive traditions.
